ShieldNet v2: Networked Threat Intelligence

Traditional Discord moderation operates in silos: an attacker raids Server A, gets banned, and immediately moves on to raid Server B, Server C, and Server D. ShieldNet v2 breaks this cycle by transforming participating Discord communities into an interconnected collaborative defense mesh.

How ShieldNet v2 Works

  1. Threat Ingestion: When an account is banned for malicious behavior (raiding, token selfbotting, malware propagation) with high confidence on an accredited server, the event is analyzed by ShieldNet’s consensus engine.
  2. Consensus & Origin Validation: To prevent abuse and false positives, single-moderator disputes are filtered out. Signals require verified proof, multi-guild correlations, or anti-raid automated confirmations.
  3. Targeted Vaccination Delivery: The threat signature is dispatched through BullMQ queues (shieldnet-delivery) to all servers enrolled in the network.

Trust Circles

MyProtect allows administrators to configure Trust Circles, defining how aggressive ShieldNet should be based on community risk tolerance:

Conservative

Only acts on globally verified, multi-server confirmed malicious token bots and raiders. Quarantines rather than bans.

Standard (Recommended)

Automatically kicks or bans accounts with proven malicious intent across the network. Enforces incoming alt-account restrictions.

Aggressive / Fortified

Proactively bans any account flagged for selfbotting or phishing across the network. Recommended for high-profile crypto or gaming communities.

Privacy & Network Integrity

  • Anonymized Telemetry: ShieldNet broadcasts only the actor’s Discord snowflake ID, sanction category, and cryptographic hash of the attack pattern. No server names or member chats are exposed to other communities.
  • False Positive Protection: Users flagged by ShieldNet can file a centralized network appeal. If an appeal is validated by network administrators, the flag is revoked across all subscribed servers simultaneously.
